How can you make the best preparations with the little time you have left?

  1. Organize your study notes by chapter for quick revision

Arrange your study notes and practice questions as how all revision books do. This will help to organize your thoughts and do quick revision just before exams. When you are actually in the exam hall, try to picture or imagine the chapter to find the answer you are looking for. Use clues in the question to guide your chapter-finding.

  1. Use pictures to help remember information

Instead of long sentences, pictures are very helpful to quickly recall information. It also serves as a good change of reading and using words. Keep information simple when using picture. It should summarize all the information you already know.

  1. Change study places

Speaking of change, try studying in different places once every 2-3 days. This is a good break in routine and gives your body (and mind) a chance to refresh itself. You will feel more motivated and able to better understand theories and concepts. Tips: You can choose to study indoor in another room or outdoor as long as it is quiet.

  1. Read your notes before you sleep

Before you sleep, spend the last hour reading notes and concepts that you have studied for the day. Sleeping gives the brain a chance to rest and refresh; thus helping to retain important notes and information. You can take one step further by trying to recall what you have revised when you are awake the next morning.

  1. Get 6 to 8 hours of good sleep

This may sound silly to you but taking caffeine (i.e. coffee or tea) to stay awake or give you the additional alertness is only good for a short time. Your exam period may last from a few days to 3 weeks (or more!). What you need is a good 6 to 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep which you can achieve by sleeping at a regular hour, minimize texting before sleep, and of course avoid caffeine!

Bonus tip:

After all is said and done, there is nothing more powerful than a calm mind and a never-give-up attitude!
